Ein kleiner Blick in die Ausstellungseröffnung "Blaues Band" am 12.5.2018 in Gilligs Mühle in Antweiler:
Der große Speicher in Gilligs Mühle erwies sich als sehr gute Räumlichkeit: erstens ist das Licht gedämpft, aber nicht zu dunkel, d.h. es entstehen kaum Lichtreflexe, die die Bildthematik stören, außerdem sind zweitens die Wände ideal für Formate zwischen 120 cm bis 150 cm, die ich üblicherweise nutze.
So konnte ich zwölf großformatige Bilder hängen, ohne dass Lücken an den Wänden entstanden.
Der Kunstförderverein EifelArt hat bei der Aufhängung geholfen und am Tag der Eröffnung waren Getränke und Häppchen da. Dass die Organisation komplett beim Kunstverein liegt, läßt den Maler im Malerhimmel schweben.

The great granary in the old mill turned out to be a very good space for this purpose: on one hand the light is soft, but not to dim, which means reflexes of light, that interfere with the painting's topic, hardly arise. On the other hand, the walls are ideal for such formats from 120 cm to 150 cm, as I usually prefer to work with.
This way I could present twelve large format pictures, without creating unnecessary gaps on the walls. EifelArt, the sponsor and organizer of this event helped with the hanging of my works and provided drinks and snacks for the opening. Having an association organize the whole exhibition is an artist's heaven.
